“Hot Ponyo” milk and honey drink

I got myself lost recently watching How To cooking videos of anime food. I’ve also gotten really distracted with cooking from movies and TV shows. Occasionally I’ll see one and think to myself, hey I could make that. So enters this recipe I found on Pinterest.

If there’s one thing I love, its defintely Studio Ghibli films. And I am convinced Hayao Miyazaki is a foodie simply based off of how all of the food is animated so delectably.

So today, enjoy the Hot Milk and Honey from Ponyo.

1 cup Milk

1/8 tsp Ginger

1 tbsp Honey

1/8 tsp Cinnamon

1 pinch of ground Cloves

1 tsp Nutmeg

1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

Pretty simple to make. Add all ingredients to a pot and heat over the stove stirring frequently until heated through. Let cool a couple minutes before enjoying.

This really tasted a lot like Horchata to me. Which, is a really good thing, I LOVE Horchata. It had a slightly stronger flavor, but equally as delicious! I did see a second recipe similar to this, but with fewer spices and green tea instead. I think making this with green tea would be the most perfect cup of liquid available.

I give this recipe an A++ for simplicity and good taste!
